Giveaway day! And other things

Hello everyone!

So today is the 15th and that means that it's time for the GYB Giveaway drawing! So much fun! :D  I listed and then counted all of the comments on the post (and one or two who couldn't find the actual post) And then I used a random number generator to pick the number for me!  I was rather shocked when it picked #1

And #1 Is Emily C. From Callenders Creations! I will be getting in touch with you later today Emily about your two colors and shipping address, Congrats!!
And thank you to everyone for participating. :D

Right now onto other things! As you can see I have a new addition to my post. The cutest little yarn ball and Crochet hook! I commissioned them from my friend Annette on deviantart, to help her out with a Pet health situation. I just wish I'd been able to help her out more. But aren't they so cute!  There are several moods for both the yarn and the hook so we will see how well I use them, yes?

Alright now, down to the business of my moodblocks. I'm behind on them, I think roughly two weeks behind. But, I have a cute little notebook I've been using to keep up with my daily moods so I will have the right colors. And I'm also in the process of doing a different style block. I'm having difficulty with the size of the blocks, and while the blocks themselves are rather pretty, they aren't working up heavy enough for what I want in a blanket that I spend so much time on. I only have one block of the new type done but I haven't managed to grab any photo's yet.  But here are the last ones of this style that I've worked on!

And now what I'm most excited about this week...well, two of the things I'm excited about. Yarn and foam heads! I got my income taxes back last week, and I decided that I needed to go ahead and dive in and buy some new yarn. So, I bought 24 (If I remember correctly) Skeins of Stylecraft yarn from Deramores. And I can hardly wait to get it!! It'll take at least 2 weeks for it to get here...so I'm impatient. But I can't wait to try this yarn, I've heard a lot of good things about it. So we shall see.

As for the foam heads, they are the type of heads that beauty shops use to display wigs on, but they also work perfectly to show off hats. I purchased mine at Sally's beauty supply for just under $5 a piece and they had a sale that day too, buy 2 get 1 free. So I bought 2 and got a free one. And since my mom has been wanting one I gave the extra one to her. I didn't wait to use them I took photo's of the hats I made over the summer, and these heads are so much better models than my Daddy.

So that's all for today. I'm hoping I have more to share with you soon I have several wip's that I'm working on. But it's very slow going because my wrist is hurting rather a lot lately. I severely sprained it in April of last year and it bothers me from time to time ever since. I blame it on all this snow and cold weather! Sheesh it's Almost March! Alabama should not be getting anymore snow! lol

I hope you all have had a blessed week and a good Valentines!

Sola Fide,
Bliss

  2. Congratulations to the winner! Your mood blocks look great ... I'm seeing these mood blankets popping up all over. My mood changes so drastically throughout each day, each block would be a riot of colour ;) The foam heads are such great models for your gorgeous hats. Here's to No More Snow!! Wendy x

    1. Thank you. :) Yeah, my moods tend to shift rather quickly so I just try to pick the mood that impacted my day the most. I find the concept interesting as it's like a journal of your days in a more physical and tangible form than just writing it all down. ^;^

  3. Your hats look much better on the heads than on dads!:) I am further behind on my blocks than you are and I really need to step it up and get caught up...congrats to your winner!

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by and reading my post. I'm glad you've decided to leave a comment, I like getting them, they make me feel like I'm not writing to myself! I reply to all my comments, even though it may take me a little bit, I DO reply.
Have a great, fantastic day/evening/night/morning!
