Bloggy Challenge

Hello everyone! Seems I'm having a little trouble keeping up to date here, so I've decided to start a challenge with a bunch of other bloggers! I'm hoping that it will kick start me into posting more often. I really miss blogging, I just seem to get distracted by so many things these days. I'm going to be doing the Blogging from A-Z Challenge in April A-Z Challenge And since I haven't been crocheting as much as I'd like to either, I've decided to go with a Mixed theme. Crochet Stitches and Fave Movies. On the days that I can't find or complete a stitch that corresponds with the proper letter, I'll find something to do with some of my favorite movies to post! Somedays I might even do a stitch and movie reference. We'll see. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can keep up with this because it seems like so much fun! I hope all of you guys are doing alright and are enjoying the Spring weather! Sola Fide Blissy

Video Moments

Hello my lovely readers! I hope you are all well and fine. I know it's been awhile since I've posted, life has been so very busy with classes and such, but this week is spring break! (though it's mostly over now) I'm working on queuing up a few posts for you guys to read, but until they are done and get posted here are some moments from the past couple of months that you might enjoy :D This is International Students Week, and all those on stage are our International students.  Hallelujah is the same in every language, did you know that?  These two ladies are amazing, they wrote this song for our Fearless small group and I thought it was an amazing song, and I wanted to share it with you guys!  On Tuesday night we have a night class, and this particular night they did a Minute or less sermon/message. They pick several people who draw things out of hat and whatever it is they have to bring something! (Preachers in training yo) Gabe here w...

School Things & New Project

Image
Hi Everyone!!  Well, it's February! (in case you guys missed it ;) ) Where did January GO!? I know where it went for me. The first couple of weeks were transition and the past two weeks I've been doing school again. It's SO exhausting lol. But I'm loving it.  I'm finally ahead in my required reading so I feel like I can DO other things besides school stuff again. (thankfully, I was having serious crochet and netflixing cravings.) I still have tons of reading to do, but it's more manageable now that I'm ahead, and I'm hoping and praying that I'll be able to stay ahead.  This semester so far is everything that I dreamed it would be. God is doing so much in me right now that it's hard to even grasp it all. One of the biggest changes and gifts that He's given me this year is peace. For the first time in as long as I can remember I'm not walking in a constant state of fear. I haven't had one anxiety attack since I'...

Grow Your Blog + Updates and Things

Image
Hi!! How is everyone!? I feel like it's been ages since I wrote a post here (though it really hasn't been THAT long)  This post will serve two purposes. First, my Grow your Blog post (which is a blog party hosted by Vikki from 2 Bags Full ) and secondly to help update my active readers with all the details on my life and crafting of late!  If this is your first time visiting; Welcome! I'm glad you stopped by and I hope you like my blog enough to stay for a bit.  Crafty things first!!  Up first for our lineup today is my Viking Helmet! My friend, Ken, is a viking nut, he likes all things historical but he has a fondness for viking things. So when I found a pattern that I liked , I knew I HAD to make it for him. It was a little difficult at first, but once I figured out how it was all supposed to go together I managed to pull it off.  And as you can see Ken just loved it. A sidenote: Ken, his wife and I have been friends for e...

Afghans

I've started a new one! I'm using Redheart unforgettable boutique yarn, double stranded to make this one. I had three skeins hanging around so I thought I'd do some mindless crocheting with it.  I liked it SO much that I went ahead and bought a TON (18) Skeins from Joann's when I caught them on sale. Hopefully that will be enough, but if it's not...then I will buy more! And do you remember this stack of squares? I finally put them all together in November to create this afghan: I'm like, crazy proud of this one too. It took ages! I ended up giving it to my mom's sister for her birthday. She needed a handmade hug. I can't wait to work on another one...I kind of want to make one for my best friend for Christmas next year, but we'll see.  I managed to start and complete, 5 (FIVE!?) Afghan's in 2014...I think that's quiet a feat...don't you?  Let's rehash! In February http://crochet-bliss....
