War Eagle!


My sister asked me to help her out and make her a glove and scarf set for a coworker of hers, in the Auburn college football team colors and of course I had no problem doing that since I had the extra time! (even though I am not a very big fan of orange) 

I made the gloves first and I think they turned out pretty well.

Then I moved onto the scarf....First I attempted to Knit it.....

 But I didn't like the way it looked at all...the doubled stranded mixed look isn't one that I'm a fan of. So I frogged it and started over in crochet.

It's still worked with double strands, but I used the same colors, and I think it turned out much better. it's a nice length and it's very thick and warm. :D

    As a kid orange and brown were my favourite colours! Orange is quite popular the last couple of years, and all the kids in my neighbourhood look like construction workers. I really like the way you finished up making the scarf. I agree that the first attempt didn't look so hot with the two colours knitted together. The gloves look super warm too! Wendy x

Giveaway day! And other things

Hello everyone! So today is the 15th and that means that it's time for the GYB Giveaway drawing! So much fun! :D  I listed and then counted all of the comments on the post (and one or two who couldn't find the actual post) And then I used a random number generator to pick the number for me!  I was rather shocked when it picked #1  And #1 Is Emily C.
