Pixie's Space

Hello Lovely lovely blog readers! I've had these photo's ready to share for ages now, but I keep forgetting! >.<  So here they are now.  When I bought my Stylecraft yarn  I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to do with it. Until I saw this lovely afghan pattern As we go stripey blanket  and I was like, YES I will do this one... And I did, all the way up to the catherine wheel. I frogged, and re-frogged the last two rows about seven times (and I'm so not exaggerating.)  before I decided that maybe I should do something else. (and I was super frustrated by that time.  Luckily I snapped a pic before I frogged it all down.   It was really nice and all, but I just...couldn't deal with that catherine's wheel! So, I started over. And I have about 45 rows done on this attempt. I decided to go with a stitch I learned from Dream a little bigger , called the V Double Crochet Stitch . Sooo, The mood blanket project has officially been re thought. I really thought I was going to be able to do it and keep up, it seemed so easy in the beginning! But Alas, it just hasn't worked out that way. And when I came up blank for how I felt certain days I started to realize I didn't really want a blanket full of days that were randomly picked because I was too depressed to think of a color or to remember what had been done that day. So yeah! I've continued with the blocks. Working up the first African flower blocks: Into solid granny square blocks: I now have 13 finished blocks like the above and two almost finished ones (in the next pic) .: I'm also using the blocks that my mom was making for a mood blanket, which she also has decided not to finish.
